Re: Are Bumblebees and Honeybees friends?
Thanks Kristina! Well I am glad to have bumblebees around because I am growing tomato plants. Hope she sets up house somewhere close by! She was already in the hive. Actually I just happened to wander over to my hive just exactly when she was going into the entrance without being stopped, it's one r...

Are Bumblebees and Honeybees friends?
Today when I checked my hive I found a large bumblebee walking around the combs with my bees, who didn't seem to care. As soon as I lifted the comb out of the hive it flew away. Why weren't the bees attacking it? Are they friends? Was it trying to rob the hive? Was it lost? I thought this was a bit ...

No honey in hive
Hi everyone, I have a small colony with only 4 combs. Do I need to start feeding them so they can feed the brood when they hatch? What do you think? tha...

Need Help Extracting Bees/Hive
Hi All, My neighbor has a spot in the wall of his home near the roof, or maybe it's the eave, where bees have made a hive. He has already paid once to have someone come and extract the bees, comb, etc. But for some reason the hole was not patched, or maybe the area can't be patched. (I haven't actua...

NEED BEES!
Help! I need bees! Does anyone have any bees they can sell me to add to an existing hive? I don't need a Queen. I requeened a few weeks ago but my numbers are so low I am afraid I do not have enough support for the new brood. I have only 6 small pancake sized combs and only enough bees to cover one ...

Struggling Small Colony
Hi, I am a new beekeeper. I received 2 colonies in April, and one them is struggling. They lost their Queen probably late May or early June and their numbers started to dwindle. I re-Queened 2 weeks ago, checked the Hive 10 days later and the Queen is alive. But the number of bees is alarmingly low ...
