Hi, Dalea is a great bee plant for the reasons you've outlined. We have some nice plants for sale at Harlequin's Gardens. Hi David, You're right that maples are the first to bloom in mid Feb. They can be a great source of pollen and nectar IF the weather permits foraging. The bees usually get at least something on those 70 degree days in between the 15 degree days. That goes for Feb, March, and even April. Mahonia bloo...
