Register now for the upcoming 8-week course
Classes begin January 8, 2019 and meet every Tuesday evening from 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. in Longmont.
Different speakers provide insights and philosophies about beekeeping based on their numerous years in the field. You will hear a variety of viewpoints and will develop confidence in understanding the basic principles of honey bee husbandry.
Demonstrations, review session and apiary visit add up to approximately 20 hours of instruction.
All apiary visits are weather dependent and scheduled separately from the classroom meetings. If you have never been around bees this is an opportunity to get hands-on experience in a guided setting. Topics in the apiary focus on seasonal issues and management.
Whether you are a raw beginner or have some experience keeping bees, this longstanding course continues to appeal to those who want a solid base of information in a friendly conversational setting.
