Thoughts and Ideas for a Beginner

I live in a neighborhood with 6 acres of open land. There are two beehives on the property located deep inside trees. Cutting down the trees is not an option; however, would it be possible to place bee boxes beneath the trees in the hopes that a new colony would form? Any thoughts or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Google "swarm trap" and see what comes up. If the bees in the trees aren't bothering anyone there's no need to remove them. Consider setting a few swarm traps to attract any swarms they may throw. Now is the time to do this as swarm season has begun (we got our first call last week) and will continue for just a few more weeks.
