I will have filled Mason Bee straws for sale at the BCBA February 6 meeting and maybe again in March if I have enough. They are $10 per straw, 3 for $25. Three straws should be enough to give you a good start. Mason Bees don't require nearly the commitment that honey bees do and are an excellent way to pique the curiosity of youngsters. If you aren't familiar with Mason Bees go to Crown Bees on the internet, they have a lot of good information. You will need a house and empty straws for your crop of bees. I won't have a lot of time to answer basic questions on the husbandry at the meeting so if you are interested do the homework and have your equipment ready before you buy straws.
