Prairie Wind Bee Community,
We are excited to be able to offer high quality bees to the Rocky Mountain region once again.
Over the next weeks and months, please remember us for your apiary expansion and replacement needs.
We strongly believe that we provide a better product at comparable prices to other options in the region.
We will once again be offering bees in 3 basic varieties, Italian, Carniolan, and Russian. In addition, we are offering a new line of northern raised bees.
Our Russian queens come from a member of the Russian Honey Bee Breeders Association. More information can be found here: http://www.russianbreeders.org/. Availability of Russian queens is limited so paid request will be given priority and some requests may be put on hold until availability is confirmed.
Our Carniolan and Italian queens continue to come from the supplier who has provided them in the past. These are wonderful healthy bees which have earned a reputation for calm temperament and a good fit for our region.
Our new offering this year is Northern Nucs and Northern Colonies.
These bees come from northern Wyoming and, unlike most other colonies available for sale, they do not make the annual trip to California to pollinate almonds. Instead, they overwinter in northern Wyoming where only the strong bees survive. These genetics have been built over several years and are showing real promise.
More information can be found on our website at http://www.prairiewindbeesupply.com/buy-bees.html
